Hola...After rockin Stuttgart, Germany last Friday; Dresden, Germany Saturday; and the largest festival in Amsterdam...Roots Festival on Sunday, all Audiopharmacy members finally got a moment to shower up and rest over at el casa de Pooja y Martin. A THOUGHT FROM DJ OFFERINGS Life on the road with Audiopharmacy never ceases to amaze me. For years and more, the AP fam continues to hit the streets and meet face to face with individuals of all walks of life which intertwine, creating a community of oneness. All have a different life story, filled with tribulations, struggles, and blissful moments of happiness as well. Two nights ago walking through the streets of Wien, I looked back at what had grown from a 4 person group to a 15 person mob, most of which we had met that day from sharing the music and message. I thought, all these people together hold nearly 400 years of life experiences that we could all learn and heal from. …More than just audio healing, A true grassroots movement of freedom. ...Offerings- UFAU Euro tour 2009. _________________________ 5. ____________________________________________________________________________ 1. -Teao, interviewed by "Oliver Niceness"- __________ "O": Wow...Wut's new???... what's new with you? Feelin nice? Teao: so frikin exausted..yet excited at the same time. "O": so what you exausted for? Teao: im exausted for change...good change. "O": how'de the new album come out? nice? Teao: I dig it...it was challenging, but in the end...i definately dig it...A new creation always induces change...it's the "change" that you must decide whether you are content with or incontempt with. Me and Ras handled the project well together. the Audiopharmacy sound is constant...contantly unpredictable. "O": Ha...nice nice. Heard there's some nice features on there. Teao: yeah, but it's all fam. as usual. Batch from St. Croix produced a trak, Luv fyah is in the mix, Bush-t, our photographer/homey por vida finally displayed one of his hidden talents hittin nice on the drum kit, Gregg Green from NY, Dilcia Gonzales, Nathalia, Benezra, mad instrumentals, and more folks cameo'd as well. Ironically, one of the originators of the group...Sef (Zygoat) didn't lace a track. He handled the art on the disk tho. Came tight as usual. "O": Dang...what about the rest of the original Kaotic Souls members? Teao: Pasha and Laxman (Dempswat), and even Elsu and Turtle are on there. Sundiata and Sef aren't. They're there in essence tho. We got plenty of material with more of the folks, it was just a bit tough tryna get the entire click in the mix in time for our Summer Euro tour this month. "O": How's the tour lookin?...Nice? Teao: Nice. I'm actually looking foward to it more than most in the past. We've grown in so many ways. Our finances are strong, which unfortunately helps a bunch ("unfortunately" dat scrilla helps you get to where you need to be. Just don't get blinded by it...doc sez my vision is beyond 20x20. But all in all...i just feel like we're more experienced in knowing how to get the most out of life and sharing it with good community. We're looking forward to Roots Fest in amsterdam on June21st. Should be around 60,000 people. Also the Street festival in Dresden should be fun. Ooh, and Barcelona. Can't forget about our traditional oudoor concert at the YAAM, Berlin. That's the ritual. Good vibes for sure. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. So many good folks in one place, a beach, tiki torches, fresh Jamaican food backstage, and sunset performance will do that to a person. "O": You spoke of change...what's nice in the latest change in the band "Audiopharmacy" or the label..."Audiopharmacy Prescriptions?" Teao: Well, the band has a new drummer. We're playing with a few drummers, but this tour, we are officially adding our newest member. His name is Luke. He's a bad ass GoGo/reggae/hip hop drummer from Washington DC...East Coast. A hustla for sure. Humble and good hearted, but "Street" like most of us. Fate brings the AP fam together always and for a reason. My prediction?... you'll hear Luke and Keepyahjoy, our bass player/bucket player, makin some good noise on the buckets this tour mos definitley. Hmmm...other new APP members: Phoebe G- "APP queen", holdin down the fort nice n organized but seriously artistic as well (everything from illustrations to conceptual inclinations), Jeremy Goddard- handlin tech needs (audio engineer), Jessica Rollolazo- Shishin Apparel/odds n ends. Chicara- Filming and editing (check the new video for "honward" at www.audiopharmacy.com) Shishin Asha-Kaiah (my 3 year old girl)- is deep into the color pink and chewing gum. Peace to Eric Zawolkow who's been helping out as well. As for AP musicians/artists: -Jaiv1's been killin it on the die-cut plexiglass robots blended with woodwork lately. (coming soon) - DJ Werd's been makin moves with Berlin MC-Amewu. and is still dj'ing with Sido's (Aggro Berlin), who just got signed to Universal Records. - Stepwise has been touring with Alika in Venezuela and is about hit Mexico on this Thursday. Not to mention has now been broadcasting his South American and online radio show live from the Pharm(SF) weekly- Galang Radio-Tuesdays 6-7:30 pm PST - WWW.SUPERESTACION.FM - Pasha and Sef are planting seeds of our future in the studio up north. - Niceone's been doing a lot of print work...wall wraps, vinyl, other services for artists and regular peeps in need of art or advertising. "O": nice name, "Niceone." ...you were saying. Teao: damn...you're gonna keep sayin it aren't you?..so anyways, - Me and Ras have been creating a bunch of new music, including the new album we are dropping next week called, "U Forgot About Us". - Me and Trishes from FM4-Austrian radio/goalgetter did an AP track together called Self Expression. (On new "UFAU" album.) - Joeseph Gross from ArtNowSF (nice Bay Area promoter) is taking a break on throwing events and is managing booking for Audiopharmacy beginning after our Euro tour. - Keepyahjoy is filming a movie. Oh, and he has a full page photo in the last SF issue of 944 magazine. - Kaira Espinosa released her new book, "Poems About This Roller-Coaster Ride Called Life": (Order at PublishAmerica.com) .....Man...there's just too much...you know what?, I'm just gonna put a blog section on the site, so all APP artists can update it themselves and people can keep up there. Keep progress with your goals and don't fall stagnant to routine unless you love your routine. Sometimes, we need to experience new things to open our eyes to new perspectives. Chicken or the egg??? who cares, just keep your head up, so you can get a good view beyond what's in front of you. If that doesn't work...close your eyes and see even more. You deserve the best.
